- The system uses an inbuilt multiple event logging (in separate logs), of up to 18,000 events. Events can be filtered to identify any event that may have occured. The system can be configured online using the VESDA VSC configuration software.
The VESDA VLP range has a builtin aspirator to draw in air particles into a sealed laser chamber. When smoke enters the aspirating smoke detection chamber, the reflection of the active laser off the smoke particles will allow the detector to measure levels of contaminiation of up to 0.008 - 0.625% obs/ft. Smoke levels can be set up so that when smoke is detected at a predefined level, it will display the programmed alarm thresholds via the Instant recognition display. Additionally three changeover relays (Fire 1, Action, Fault), Contacts rated at 2A each can be used to connect to a site wide fire alarm system, or any other monitoring system.
